"With the introduction of the 2003 Ford Mustang Mach 1, Scott Hoag and his group of designers and engineers based the 2003-2004 Mach 1 from 1970 model Mach 1.  The modern Mach 1 lives up to the original’s reputation, and exudes the same good looks. Under the genuine shaker hood lurks a 32-valve, 4.6-liter V8 producing 305 tire-smoking horsepower. Ford also replaced the standard Mustang GT brakes with Brembo equipment sporting 13-inch rotors up front to pull the Mach 1 down from high speeds.
Taking the retro theme a bit further to match (and exceed) the power of 428 Cobra-Jet engines, this Mach 1 is upgraded with a professionally installed turbocharger kit producing a tire-shredding 460 rear horsepower and 480 pounds of torque.  Tubular front suspension,  caster/camber plates, Vogtland lowering springs, and Tokico D-Spec adjustable struts and shocks improve handling.  Also, a Steeda strut brace was installed to increase cornering ability, and as well as a Steeda racing rear spoiler to increase down-force at higher speeds.  A Roush Stage 3 front fasica was installed to increase fresh air to the air to air intercooler, and the original air intake from the factory installed “shaker” hood was modified to serve as fresh air duct/heat extractor for the turbocharged engine.  Magnaflow exhaust with rolled-tips complete the early-era muscle car sound.  
Carrying the modern retro theme farther is the installation of rear black aluminum louvers, Mach 1 themed shifter, Mach 1 embrodiered headrests, and Mach 1 dash emblem.
With the current modifications, and given the low production numbers of 2003 Mach 1’s in Oxford white, it is believed this Mach 1 is one of only ten in the world to be turbocharged, and only one of one in Oxford White." "I wanted my Mach 1 to have the same power levels of the early Mach 1's with 429 SCJ, and after doing a lot of research, I decided to go with a turbocharger setup. I had the system installed by a performance shop in Charlotte, but they were unable to tune my car since they did not have their own dynometer, but relied on a mobile dyno. The mobile tuner was unable to tune my car since there was not many turbocharged Mustangs and a "cookie-cutter" program was not going to work on my car. I was very disappointed that my car was not tuned, and I had to limp my car back to Asheville. There was no one located in Asheville that could or would look at my car and a friend recommended I contact Rick of Amazon Tuning. I spoke to Rick and Linn on the phone, and came down to their shop. After seeing and hearing their degree of experience, I trusted my car to their expert diagnostics and tuning. My car was a "problem child" which would have frustrated a lot of other tuners, but not Rick.
